In line with UNDP’s mission to eradicate poverty and reduce inequalities and exclusion UNDP supports countries to implement large scale health programmes—including accessing some of the most hard-to-reach populations and strengthening institutions to deliver essential services in challenging and high-risk country contexts.
UNDP works closely with other UN Agencies and development organisations, to develop resilient and sustainable health systems. Partnerships leverage UNDP’s mandate to strengthen institutions to deliver universal access to basic services and to rebuild resilient health services in crisis and post-crisis settings.

Resilience and Sustainability
In all countries where UNDP provides modalities and support to channel donor and government funding for health implementation, capacity development of national entities and strengthening of systems is a top priority to move towards a more resilient and sustainable health systems.
